We have recently purchased a Honda Pioneer UTV and fitted the only Magictec automatic electric powered soil sampler in the UK to it. This makes the soil sampling much more streamline and it makes longer days soil sampling easier for the operator. We also collect soil samples for a major blue chip company.
pH testing is done in the field using using test tubes and soil indicator. We can obtain a quick and reliable test for your soil. These results can be put onto a map, showing where lime is needed to correct the pH and a variable rate application (VRA) plan can be put together. All other samples are sent to a laboratory for analysis. Potato Cyst Nematode (PCN) Sampling is a service also carried out by us.

We also use quad bikes to carry the equipment and soil samples collected. This is where the manual soil sampler is used. The quad bikes tyres and the Pioneer tyres are low ground pressure, meaning that we cause minimal disturbance to the ground. GPS sampling and basic ‘W’ pattern sampling is carried out both the quad and the Pioneer.
